The first explosion took place outside a footwear shop around some few hours ago, followed by a second explosion just minutes later, said Badamasi Amin, a local trader, who counted at least three bodies.
Another trader, who gave his name as Ali Nasiru, said he saw “people lying lifeless on the ground”.
The explosions came as Muslims nationwide prepare for the Eid-el-Fitri celebrations on Friday.
Suspected Boko Haram members have detonated multiple bombs at a market in the city of Gombe on Thursday, killing several people, according to witnesses.
